This is a partnership with North Akron CDC, Shanti Community Farms and The Exchange House. Not only do we offer our immigrant families garden plots for growing produce but also farmers market vendor space with an extensive training component for all participants. The entire Farmers Market program runs from April to early September (weather permitting) and includes: training on customer service and running a business. We know many of our families had farms and lived off farming back home and we wish to provide them that same opportunity in the United States.

Our Yard Corps kids & families have been working very hard to bring you our 2020 Farms Market! Each week we will have PRODUCE, HANDMADE CRAFTS, SINGLE SERVE TREATS, AND ENTERTAINMENT! We depend on events like this to help fund our Yard Corps and other Shanti Community Farms programs for 2020 and beyond!

Every FRIDAY & SATURDAY (through September) we will be located at ‘The Exchange House‘ (760 Elma St, Akron, OH 44310) from 4pm – 7pm. Produce, crafts and single serve treats will vary every week. Come out and support a local non profit and our Yard Corps kids who have worked extremely hard to make this happen!

We want to thank the Exchange house for allowing us the space to hold our weekly Farmers Market. Please ALSO visit their brand NEW ‘NoHi Pop-Up’ located on North Main Street, right across the street from our Farmers Market.

Due to Covid-19 we will be adjusting our Farmers Market schedules and procedures. Be sure to follow us on all social media @shantifarmsoh for news and updates!
